Pitch In for UBC Baseball

UBC Baseball is a premier collegiate program dedicated to offering its student-athletes an exceptional experience. Funds raised from generous supporters will enhance travel opportunities, upgrade equipment and apparel, and most importantly, provide vital academic support. Your support can help us knock this campaign out of the park!

Project Description

UBC Baseball is grateful for the dedication and support that allow our athletes to continue thriving both academically and athletically. Contributions to this campaign directly benefit both the team and individual players. This support is essential in gaining access to high-performance equipment, enabling athletes to train, compete and excel at the highest level. Your support of this campaign is a grand slam for our student-athletes.

Challenges and Impact of Your Support

Today’s student-athletes face the dual pressures of excelling in both their studies and their sport, often while managing financial strain. This campaign seeks to alleviate these financial burdens by providing essential support to the UBC Baseball program and its student-athletes, enabling them to focus on their physical and mental development, which are crucial to their success on and off the field.

About the UBC Thunderbirds Men’s Baseball Team

The 2023-24 UBC Thunderbirds Baseball season was packed with major milestones. The team broke into the NAIA Top 25 rankings and earned an at-large bid to the NAIA World Series, where they put forth a strong showing but narrowly lost in the Championship game of the opening round to Arizona Christian. Although they didn’t advance to the final, the high-stakes experience was invaluable for our program.

UBC also celebrated individual achievements, with two pitchers selected in the Major League Baseball Draft: Sean Heppner (12th round, Cleveland Guardians) and Vic Domingo (19th round, San Diego Padres). Additionally, four players were named First Team All-Conference, two earned Golden Glove honours and ten received Daktronics NAIA Baseball Scholarships. On top of that, 15 players earned Academic All-Canadian status.

Hit it out of the park—please support UBC Thunderbirds Baseball today! Your generosity truly makes a difference in the lives of our student-athletes and the success of our program.
