Upgrade OK Motorsports Mark V Race Car Engine

Help OK Motorsports at UBC Okanagan fund upgrades to our newest race car for better efficiency, power and reliability. We can be the top Formula SAE team in Canada!

Project Description

OK Motorsports is gearing up for the international Formula SAE competition this May, bringing our fifth race car prototype, Mark V. But before we hit the track, we need your support to bring it to life.

We’re on a mission to amp up our performance and reliability, and your contribution will make it happen. Imagine a sleek new shifting system, an upgraded exhaust, and an intake system designed for peak power. Last year’s 36th place was good, but we’re aiming higher, addressing our flaws head-on.

Say goodbye to electrical hassles! Our gear-shifting revolution involves a switch to an in-house pneumatic system that’ll make our competition break a sweat. The exhaust upgrades aren’t just cosmetic; they’re integrated with aerodynamics to harness wasted energy. And the upgraded intake system? It’s not just about air; it’s about efficiency and shedding unnecessary weight.

This isn’t just about building a car; it’s about creating a masterpiece on wheels. Your support isn’t just a financial boost; it’s a ticket to propelling us into the top 10 teams, making a bold statement at the competition, and giving our team the credit they deserve for their innovative designs. Ready to be part of this thrilling journey? Buckle up – it’s going to be a wild ride!

Challenges and Impact of Your Support

Developing innovative solutions in mobility, particularly in the realm of motorsports, carries a substantial price tag. Without crucial financial backing, our team’s creative engineering concepts remain confined to screens and paper. Every member of our team volunteers their time, juggling coursework, jobs, and personal commitments to transform our envisioned race car into reality for the competition each May.

A significant portion of our efforts goes into securing funding for our project. The funds raised here will alleviate the time constraints our dedicated members face. This means less time spent searching for sponsors and more time devoted to meticulously crafting the components that will propel us to success in competition. Your support will help turn our ideas into reality and reduce the compromises our team makes to bring our vision to the track.

Are you an organization or business and want to support us? Corporate sponsorship opportunities are available. Give through our Corporate Giving and Sponsorship page or contact us by emailing okanaganmotorsports@gmail.com to discuss further.
