UBC Okanagan Men’s Rugby: Join our journey to the Nationals

The Heat Men’s Rugby Team has earned a spot at the Canadian University Men’s Rugby Championship in Ottawa! For the first-time, our student-athletes will represent UBC Okanagan and compete at the highest level in collegiate rugby across Canada. The team’s hard work, determination and commitment have brought them to this prestigious stage, where they’ll take on top teams from across the country, bringing the Heat to a national audience.

Challenges and Impact of Your Support

Your donation supports our student-athletes who have given their all—on the field and in the classroom. They have earned the right to represent UBCO on the national stage. With funds raised through this campaign, you’ll be directly supporting their journey to the national Championship in Ottawa on November 13, 2024. All funds raised will help cover essential expenses, including accommodation in Ottawa, meals to keep our athletes fueled and travel costs for flights and local transportation.

About the UBCO Heat Men’s Rugby Team

The UBCO Heat Men’s Rugby team has grown tremendously over the past decade, evolving from a modest club to a competitive force in their league. This remarkable progress has been shaped significantly by the dedication of our players and the unwavering support of our community. Since 2011, Men’s rugby has thrived at UBC Okanagan, and this year, the team achieved an impressive milestone with an undefeated season—a testament to their hard work, skill and team spirit.

Operating as part of the UBC Okanagan Competitive Sports Club Program, the Heat Men’s Rugby team is self-funded, relying on the generosity of supporters to continue their journey. Our student-athletes are passionate about representing UBCO and are honored to compete for the Canadian University Men’s Rugby Championship. As costs continue to escalate, we invite you to be our 16th man, helping us secure a sustainable future for rugby at UBCO and empowering our team to reach new heights on the national stage.
