Support UBC Women’s Field Hockey’s Preseason Tournament
Support UBC’s Women’s Field Hockey Team as they battle NCAA powerhouses in a preseason showdown in California.
Project Description
To remain competitive and have success at the highest level we need to prepare by competing against the best. Your support will provide our team with the opportunity to compete in a preseason tournament against three NCAA universities in California: Stanford, Berkley and UC Davis. This fundraising campaign will help with some of the major costs associated with attending this tournament. Help our dedicated athletes as they strive for greatness and work towards a national championship!
Challenges and Impact of Your Support
You can make a significant impact on the UBC Women’s Field Hockey Team. Our goal for the 2023-2024 season is to win a national championship, and your support will play a crucial role in achieving that. These tournaments are invaluable technical and tactical development opportunities for our student athletes as they face unfamiliar opponents. Not only will your contributions directly fund this upcoming tournament, but they will also serve as an important catalyst for our team’s success this season. Together, we can bring the championship banner back to UBC.
About Thunderbirds Women’s Field Hockey

Since then, the UBC Thunderbirds Women’s Field Hockey team has established a history of dominance in Canada with 19 U SPORT National Championships and 26 Canada West Championships. In 2022-2023, five Thunderbirds were selected to the Canada West All-Star Team. The team also continues to find success off the turf, with six players achieving Academic All-Canadian honours.
