UBCO Men’s Rugby: Bring the Heat to Nationals

UBC Okanagan (UBCO) Men’s Rugby is heading to Montreal for the Canadian University Men’s Rugby Championship, taking place November 12–16, 2025. Support our student-athletes as they compete against the best teams in the country.

UBCO Heat Men’s Rugby team has once again earned a spot at the Canadian University Men’s Rugby Championship in Montreal! For the second-time, our student-athletes will represent UBCO and compete at the highest level in collegiate rugby across Canada. The team’s hard work, determination and commitment have brought them to this prestigious stage, where they’ll take on top teams from across Canada and bring the Heat to a national audience.

Challenges and Impact of Your Support

Your donation supports our student-athletes who have given their all—on the field and in the classroom. They have earned the right to represent UBCO on the national stage, and your gift will directly support their journey to the Championship. All funds raised will help cover essential expenses, including accommodation in Montreal, meals to keep our athletes fueled and travel costs like flights and local transportation.

Individual gifts of $50 or more will be matched dollar-for dollar by UBC Okanagan, up to a total of $15,000. MATCH UNLOCKED!!

About the UBCO Heat Men’s Rugby Team

The UBCO Heat Men’s Rugby team has grown tremendously over the past decade, evolving from a modest club to a competitive force in their league. This remarkable progress has been shaped significantly by the dedication of our players and the unwavering support of our community. Since 2011, Men’s Rugby has thrived at UBCO, and this year, the team achieved an impressive milestone with an undefeated season—a testament to their hard work, skill and team spirit.

Operating as part of the UBCO Competitive Sports Club Program, the Heat Men’s Rugby team is self-funded, relying on the generosity of supporters to continue their journey. Our student-athletes are passionate about representing UBCO and are honored to compete for the Canadian University Men’s Rugby Championship. As costs to compete continue to grow, we invite you to be our 16th man and help to secure a sustainable future for rugby at UBCO and empower our team to reach new heights on the national stage.
