Formula UBC – Journey to Michigan 2026
Help drive Formula UBC Racing to victory in Michigan. Your support will help cover the costs to build our 2026 race car. Together, we can cross the finish line to success!
Project Description
Formula UBC Racing designs and builds a brand-new race car each year to compete in the prestigious Formula SAE international competition, where the world’s top university teams battle it out. This competition pushes us to brainstorm, design, manufacture and develop a high-performance, Formula-style vehicle from the ground up. We face a series of rigorous on-track and off-track events that test everything from the car’s design to its overall performance and reliability.
But it’s not just about racing—it’s about the skills, teamwork and real-world experience we gain along the way.
Challenges and Impact of Your Support
Building a competitive 2026 race car is no small feat. Many of our existing tools are outdated, limiting our manufacturing precision, efficiency and consistency across critical components. Without upgrades, these constraints slow our development and restrict our ability to fully realize our designs.
Every dollar you contribute goes directly toward essential tool and material upgrades, enabling more accurate manufacturing, faster iteration and higher-quality components. Your support brings us closer to a race-ready car and a stringer performance on track. Together, we can power up our team and build a car that’s built to win.
About Formula UBC Racing
Formula UBC Racing is a diverse team of talented engineering students determined to get the most out of their educational experience. Every year, our team comes together to design, build and test a brand-new race car from the ground up, competing in the renowned Formula SAE international competition against teams from over 120 universities worldwide. Each member contributes their skills in a specialized area including powertrain, chassis, suspension, electronics or aerodynamics, bringing their unique expertise to the table.
