Story Description
The UBC Thunderbirds Nordic Ski Sports Club is going to Nationals! Eleven of our athletes have qualified for the cross-country skiing national championships in Silverstar, BC from March 21-April 2. We are incredibly excited to represent the Thunderbirds nationally, and need your support to send us there.
Challenges & Impact of Your Support
While we try to keep costs low, nationals will cost $1,500 per athlete to attend. We would appreciate your support to help subsidize the cost to make Nationals affordable for all of our qualified athletes.
About UBC Thunderbirds Nordic Ski Sports Club
The UBC TSC Nordic Skiing team is a competitive student-run ski team that races throughout BC and Canada. We compete in skate and classic discipline races, ranging from relays and sprints to 50km loppets. Our season includes early season training in Silverstar, local provincial races at Callaghan, weekly Tuesday night competitions at Cypress and the Canadian National Championships each year in late March. Our roster includes athletes from across Canada and the United States and beyond, with a variety of racing experiences.
